It should be against the law in my opinion because it can cause serious problems because they are not paying attention to the road. It is against the law to drink and drive because of the problems or issues that causes. It is against the law to be under the influence of drugs while driving because of the implications that it causes. Wearing seatbelts is mandatory for everyone that drives because it can save lives. So people are having issues with the new law that goes into effect “get over it”. I would rather be safe than sorry when it comes to driving and texting, which I do not do anyway. It is amazing that people can do this type of thing and be aware of the surroundings while driving. It is hard enough to watch out for the other people around you why would you want to chance your life texting instead of waiting until you stop. Is it that important that you cannot wait until you reach your destination. Is it worth causing a wreck, and possibly killing someone because you cannot wait until you come to a complete stop to text your friends.
