As she was watching television this morning on the news they showed a segment about a woman starting a campaign to ban the word “Bossy”. Now, if they ban this word like they ban other words why don’t they just ban all the words in the world because they all offend someone or make them feel bad. You know people always get picked on throughout their life. You have to be strong and not hang around the wrong people. These people are trying to sugar coat everything for these children and that is not how the world works. You are always going to be criticized for everything that you do in your life. Whether it is from your family or someone that you work for there is always going to be someone making fun of something that you do. Parents need to teach their children how to accept criticism from other people. Everyone cannot be protected from bullies or snide remarks from other people. She does not condone bulling because she was picked on throughout her life. However, you have to stand up for yourself and stand up for what you believe in.
America has become something that she does not like, and she is surprised that the American people are putting up with the things that are going on in this world. They ban sweets, and other things in the school system. They ban words that people think are hurtful to others. Come on this is the real world not some fantasy that people can take away and make you feel better. Children are growing up thinking that they cannot do anything with their life because they do not have anyone teaching them what they need to know in the real world. The real world does not care about your feelings and whether or not they have hurt them. Children are given everything that they want in their life and when they grow up and become adults in the real world they find out that they do not get everything that they want. It is a harsh reality for some because they do not know what to do when they are fired from their first job because they do not want to do the work that is required of them.
It makes you wonder how they made it in the olden days when there was no television, no computers, I pads, IPhones, cell phones, Xbox, Wii or anything else like this. The things that they did during those times was plant gardens, visit with neighbors, and family members. They enjoyed the great outdoors instead of being cooped up in the house all the time playing games or being a couch potato. Granted the world is changing however, children are brought up thinking that they are entitled to these things and parents that do not buy these things are considered bad parents because their children do not have these things. What is more amazing is that people who cannot afford these items still buy them anyway because it is the cool thing to do. Then complain because they do not have the money to pay for their bills.
