An Amazing Experience

In February of this year I was able to participate in the SkillsUSA. Personally, this was the first time I have ever competed for something so I was a nervous wreck (lol). Throughout taking the Cyber security classes I have learned many things about the computers, and internet. We can all use this to our advantage and if you are creative enough you can accomplish anything you want. You can do anything that you put your mind to and know that you have accomplished something good. All competitions are fun and also a learning experience to see what other’s have done during the competition. For this being my first ever competition it was a pleasure participating in such an awesome event. However, I wished we could have gone to state but with COVID19 and Hurricane Sally they cancelled the competition.

This was amazing to say the least to watch all the students who worked hard to achieve their goals. People take things for granted and do not appreciate the hard work of others. Cyber Security is an awesome field of study. Learning what the hackers are doing and finding ways to keep them out of your personal information. Everyone is constantly using some type of electronic device, and many people do not think about who is spying on them. The information is out in the world for everyone to see. People do not think about the amount of information that can be easily obtained with no problems at all. Learning about these issues is one that people are willing to learn and find out the process of how the hackers retrieve their information on anyone they choose. The best part of the whole experience with the class and the competition was well just about all of it. Forensics was also quite interesting to say the least. Learning how to dig deep into someone’s computer to find out just about anything you want to know about that person is scary to think about but that is also how they catch people.

The day has come…

What a Wonderful story!!!! I loved it so much…

Stories from home

3-16-13 Oliver7 I knew this day would come, and I knew it was going to be difficult. Oliver just turned 18 months, and what with everything swirling around here of late, we kind of dropped the ball when it comes to getting him “fixed”. A few months back, I discussed the pros and cons – according to a layman like me – to having this operation completed, so if it’s all right with you my loyal readers, this time around I’d rather not re-visit why it’s a barbaric and unnecessary procedure. Let’s just accept that it’s going to happen and move on – thanks for understanding.

We’re getting Oliver fixed on Wednesday morning. Though sad about actually doing it – I don’t want to put my baby through any unnecessary discomfort – we’re doing it for the following reasons… it is convenient, and besides, when we purchased him from the breeder we signed…
