Some Great Achievements

There are many reasons to be proud of yourself and the accomplishments that you have made throughout your life. Although she did not do well in high school her achievements in college were a big turn around for her because she wanted  to succeed in college. She wanted to show her children that anything is possible. Some of her greatest achievements are being herself, raising three wonderful children, obtaining her GED so that she could go to college, achieving an associates, bachelors in business management, and completing her master’s degree in business administration.

She has always loved to write about anything that she could so starting a blog was something that she could do to write about the things that she loves. She never thought that it would turn out so well. Although she is not an author yet she hopes to be one in the near future. She is proud of her accomplishments just like everyone else is of theirs. She knows that people get tired of her bragging about her accomplishments. However, it is her right to brag about the things that she has accomplished in her life.

She has earned her bragging rights and mentions the accomplishments every chance she can get. You only live once and you have to take the chance to show your abilities to the world. She has the ability to succeed in everything that she does in her life. She continues to strive for success in her life and for her family. There will be more achievements in her future as a mother, writer, and hopefully management one day. She is working hard to achieve more goals that she has put in place for the upcoming years.

I would like to say thank you to all you amazing people for following this blog. When I started this blog I never thought that I would have such an audience like this. It gives you this warm feeling inside to know that people actually enjoy the articles that you write about on your blog.

I appreciate all the comments, and likes for the posts that I have put on my blog. I hope that in the future of my blogging experience you enjoy the posts and information that I put on this blog.

You are a wonderful audience I should have never stopped writing articles two years ago. However, there were many things going on in life that you just cannot put to the side. Now, I am in that mode of writing for myself because I enjoy it. Now, I have the time to write about the things that interest me as well as other around me.

My Goal For the Upcoming Year as a Blogger

In 2010, I started this blog as a project with papers, and discussion questions from college. I should have kept everything that I did in college just for this purpose. However, in the last two years I have noticed that the more I write the more people visit my blog. I was amazed at the amount of people that  have viewed my blog in many different countries. I am pleased with the outcome. I made a promise to my husband, children, and to myself that I would write in a journal everyday for a whole year. Well two years ago and I have written more about my life than I could have imagined. Somewhere about 200,000 words later I can read about my life and the things that I have accomplished over those years. With 120 followers I am excited about my blogging because of the inspiration from others. So I hope to make it to 300 followers or more before the end of the year. I know that I cannot post everyday because of the load that is already on my plate. However, I will achieve my goal because I love to write. Some of the things that come out of my head will eventually make their way onto paper or in my journal. Maybe even my blog. So here is to the upcoming year. I look forward to reading everything that my follower’s have to write about and I hope that they enjoy the things that I write about….

How do you apply the time value of money concept to make decisions in your personal life?

You know that within the field that I am in right now I use time value of money everyday. When I go to work I make a goal for me to reach each shift on how much tips I want to make that day. It all depends on the type of service that I give to my customer’s. If I do not treat my customer’s like they are number one on my checklist, and make sure that they have everything that they possibly need for their meal I will not make any money. If I do not walk around with a smile on my face this is going to hurt my pocket as well. People do not want to come in and see their server in a bad mood or not smiling. Many people want to see an outgoing person with a great personality, and they want to make sure that their food comes out the way that the customer wants it. If I do not make the goal that I have set out then I have not provided the right service to these customer’s. The weekends are totally different because the goals are set a little higher in order for me to make the budget that I have set out. The way that I use time value of money within this daily agenda through the week my goal is to make $40.00 per shift. On the weekends I set a goal of $60.00 per shift and normally you will go over the goal. We use time value of money in everything that we do in our daily lives to set goals for our children’s education, or buying a new car, buying a house, and anything else that we do. There are many ways to use the time value of money in quantitative reasoning in business by weighing the pros and cons of everything that you do now and in the future. Even when I have my own business I will set much higher goals on the amount of money that I want to earn within that day.

The will and Desire to work towards goals

All I can say to that is WOW! It is quite amazing that only 3% of the class had the desire, dedication, and vision to make it through this world. I would have to agree that many people that I work around are not all that worried about how they are going to spend their future. Right now I am working on my dreams of becoming financially stable and working for myself. I know that it will take time but these are goals that I have set out for not only myself but for my family as well. Many of the people that I talk to are just worried about the current day and not worried about what the future holds. Many of them are not thinking about their future and what they would like to do. Now that I am older I see that there are certain things that you have to set out in order for them to happen you have to work at it. What we are doing is working on what we can with the money that we have available and if we have things for other parts of the plans that we have and do not have the money we work on the things that we have the items for. Right now we are working on 10 acres of land and working on getting our trailer fixed up so that we can pay rent to ourselves and reinvest that money that we would be spending on rent on the property. One day I know that we will finally have our own business and the first one will hopefully be campsites on the property. Because from our property you can see all four mountains. I think that the same percent of people that I work with does not have set goals or visions for their future.

The Start of 2013

Today is the first day of the new year and there will be many things on the agenda for the upcoming year.

One of the items on the list is to make sure to write everyday any thoughts, conversations or anything else that comes to mind during the day. Keeping notes about what happened throughout the day can lead to some wonderful stories that others would love to read.

The second item on the list is to become a professor, and put this education to use. Instead of watching it waste away with nothing to show for the hard effort to pass all classes.

The third thing is to keep the children interested in the schoolwork that they are required to learn in the upcoming school year. The children love to learn and they also love to add more items to our terrarium.

There are other things that she would love to accomplish this year along with the ones that are listed. She will manage to make every goal this year.

This chilly weather this morning as the fog goes over the mountains. The children are waking up and it is time to start the day of homeschooling. They enjoy every minute of being at home. Some parents think that homeschooling is not good for children because they do not socialize as much as public school children do.

Personally, I believe that my children have done better at home because they receive that one on one experience that they would not get in public school. They have a social life, and spend time with other children.

They enjoy the time that they spend with their friends. Some people say that their children will not know how to kiss or how to communicate with other children especially during highschool.

Well again my personal opinion is that children are going to school for an education not to learn how to kiss, do drugs, or anything else. There are too many things going on in the world today and to many things that parents have to worry about. They should not have to worry about their little children getting drugs or anything else from other children.

Well the first weekend of the new year is over. Students and teachers across the state are heading back to school. The chilly air this morning leaves the feeling of warmth as the wood stove burns to keep the house warm for the children.

There is nothing like waking up in the morning to the aroma of fresh cut wood, and the aromatic smells from the foldger’s coffee brewing. The sounds of the interstate traffic going in either direction to reach their destination.

The day starts off with coffee, and a nice little fire. The children are sleeping and the husband went to work. As she sits here in the kitchen looking out at the frost covered ground. Listening to the traffic go up and down the interstate. Everyday wondering where they are headed, and what they will do when they reach their destination.

She sent the children on a scavenger hunt yesterday to find some items that they are learning about in class. They had fun and found most of the items on the list. Of course, some of the items were placed in the little terrarium that Dakota made to keep the pill bugs in to feed the frogs.
